“Autumn Dances” is a suite of four works for piano. Each work relates to a different aspect of the season of autumn, as experienced by generations of people from around the world throughout history.

“Bridgetown” is a nickname for the city of Portland, Oregon. Portland has eleven bridges within its city limits spanning the Willamette River and three more bridges crossing the Columbia River. Most works on this album are named for landmarks and other themes related to Portland.
